Strategic Business Solutions Consultation

As a seasoned business professional, I have responded to hundreds of RFPs and authored hundreds of winning training and communications proposals throughout my career. My unique ability lies in assessing an organization’s specific training or communication needs to develop targeted comprehensive innovative solutions. Allow me to share two notable stories of success.

I take pride in contributing to the crafting and winning of multiple Small Business Initiative Research Grants from the Federal government. One standout achievement includes securing Phase 3 funding for a million-dollar CDC-funded custom mobile health initiative—a rare accomplishment, given the challenges associated with Phase 3 approvals. My role involved successfully developing a viable product during Phases 1 & 2, earning me high praise in the government’s overall performance evaluation. In another instance, I competed against various companies to secure a custom training program for the FAA on Next-Generation Systems for Aviation Inspectors. By thoroughly researching and engaging with a technical association representing aviation inspectors, I conducted insightful interviews, gaining a profound understanding of their needs. This effort resulted in winning the contract as FAA stakeholders recognized my unique insight into the mindset and training needs of the target audience.

My passion is to infuse creativity into everything I do to grab the attention of the viewer or learner. Project Management

My extensive project management experience includes overseeing large-scale training initiatives, with projects budgets that have run between $10,000 to $1,000,000. As a Project Manager besides proactively managing the project plan and allocated resources, the most important thing you can do is constantly communicate with your stakeholders regarding their project’s status and deviations. Ninety-five percent of the time I can bring a project in on time and on budget.

Why not 100%, because let’s face it, there are many times when some projects get delayed.  The delays are attributed to having developed an inaccurate project plan with not enough days of labor allocated to produce a deliverable to delays in review cycles by subject matter experts (that’s never happened before #!#$$#!!).  So, somewhere in the 5% the delay in the project could be because of me, you, your subject matter experts, or all of us – the human element. The highest order of a project manager is to provide timely communication so that expectations are set early rather than dealing with the fallout later. I promise to strive to do everything in my power to provide you with excellent customer services that exceeds your expectations and delights you.

Services Offered:
  • Budgeting for labor, time and materials including variable, fixed, other direct costs.
  • Writing comprehensive status reports and listing project deviations and concerns.
  • Managing teams and resources through effective leadership.
  • Leading live progress meetings by writing agendas and facilitating discussions employing time management.

Video Production

I have produced hundreds of different videos in my career. I was a former professional TV and distance learning, and business television director and producer. I have won high-profile industry awards for the videos I have produced and directed, and noted film critic Roger Ebert presented me with the prestigious Golden Cine Award for best training video series using many of the cast from the famed TV program, the Wire. I can produce technical training, explainer, and influence oriented videos. Yes, I am the guy sitting behind the camera who yells, “and action!”).

Services Offered:
  • Budgeting
  • Video Treatments
  • Scriptwriting
  • Casting
  • Location Scouting
  • Hiring Crews
  • Shooting Schedules
  • Grip
  • Prop Master
  • Producer
  • Director
